| In the first months of 1943 Axis forces in North Africa were caught between two advancing Allied armies in the Tunisian bridgehead. Short of men, weapons and supplies the veterans of the Afrika Korps were still able to pack a formidable punch. Using many previously unpublished photographs and full color illustrations respected French writer and researcher Claude Gillono examines the final months of some of Germany’s most famous soldiers.
